  Beautiful lobby and nice hardwood floors in common areas. Restaurant was closed during our stay.

  I took my Mother and my husband to the Alcalde Hotel for their birthday last weekend. The hotel is beautiful, the service was outstanding the people that worked there went beyond the call of duty to make our stay lovely and memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Gonzales. We actually made the trip to stay at the Alcalde after reading about the history of the hotel and the town. We went to the chamber of commerce and were met by a gentleman that actually drove us all around town giving us the history of the town. Great experience all the way around. Sincerely Tonya Romer

  This is a beautiful historic hotel close to the town square. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We ate at the Alcalde grill in the hotel and it was delicious. The chef is personable and talented. You will not be sorry if you try it out.

  Excellent experience and right in the center of museums, shopping center, and theatres. Everyone is so friendly and breakfast staff is eager to assist and very attentive. First experience was wonderful!

  It was a great stay. The room was very clean and updated while maintaining the 1920's vibe. Will be returning for another stay. Small boutique hotel with lots of charm.
